Celebrate Dad at the exciting Father’s Day events in Chicago on June 21st. From finger-licking BBQ at the Zoo to kayak adventures to brunch cruises on the Chicago River, the Windy City is the place to play, eat, run, and show dad the time of his life. Here are some upcoming Father’s Day events you won’t want to miss!

Kayaking Tours – Take Dad for a three-hour kayak trip on the Chicago River, which includes an orientation for beginners. Paddle along the beautiful river on the Architectural Tour ($33) or Sunset Paddle ($28) and take in views of Chicago landmarks and towering skyscrapers.

Make Music Chicago – If your dad loves to jam, this free city-wide happening invites musicians of all ages and skills to play music in more than 40 public spaces around the city. Celebrate making music and create wonderful memories together.

BBQ at the Zoo – Treat Dad to all-you-can-eat Father’s Day BBQ buffet with a cash bar at the Brookfield Zoo. Feast on smokey, sticky BBQ, slaw, corn on the cob and cowboy-style beans at the Pavilions at the Zoo’s Discovery Center at noon.

Color in Motion 5K- Sport a white shirt and get bombarded by vibrant colors as you run this 5k race at Montrose Beach. Dad will have a colorfully painted t-shirt to take home to remember spending Father’s Day in Chicago.

Chicago River Cruises – Set sail on a wonderful Father’s Day Cruise on the scenic Chicago River. Odyssey Cruises offers brunch and dinner cruises with a complimentary cocktail in the afternoon or a 12oz ribeye steak at dinner. Cheers.

Father’s Day Eats – You and dad can enjoy a fabulous Father’s Day brunch at several popular eateries around town. Many Chicago restaurants offer special Father’s Day brunch, lunch and dinner menus, including Atwood, Fig & Olive, Hub 51, bistronomic, Bub City, Fogo de Chao and Knife and Tine.
